Founded in June 2003 in Singapore, ACROSS Consulting started its business
by primarily focusing on and offering professional consultancy services on
Operational Continuity Planning, OCP in short. Three years later
in November 2006, the Company decided to expand its business scope to be an Information &
Communication Technology (ICT) Services & Solutions Provider. This secondary line of
business serves as the tactical arm of Operational Continuity Planning, enabling a seamless
implementation of OCP for the customer.
Operational Continuity Planning - OCP
The principal goal of OCP is to empower companies with the means and tools
to prevent against, prepare and equip for, respond to and recover from any
undesired interruption or disaster experienced by the company. In other words,
OCP enables companies to reduce their overall operational risk exposures
and increase their resilience against potential undesired interruptions,
i.e. raise the overall survivability of the business.
Key components and tasks in the OCP process include risk assessment,
vulnerability analysis, business impact analysis, risk mitigation,
disaster recovery and contingency planning and the development
of Standard Operating Procedures.
OCP is all about saving the business, not just the computers.
OCP is more than just backing up and recovering your business
data to and from data backup tapes, OCP covers the place, the
people, and the processes and technologies aspects of the business
operations.
